Information on the Gallery |
Over 250 local artists’ home accents, sculptures and one-of –a-kind jewelery are for sale at the Giving Tree Gallery. The gallery represents the best of both old and new Cape traditions. “We want to make a difference on the Cape, and be a place not only for customers but also for artists.” Says Rachel, Judith's daughter. The gallery was a vision of Judith’s. “I refuse to admit that the Cape couldn’t be cutting edge and sophisticated.” Says Judith. She holds a firm belief that art on the Cape doesn’t need to feature quaint beach scenes in order to succeed. But the gallery didn’t happen over night. It was a labor of love. The property on Rte. 6A in East Sandwich had been neglected. It was overgrown and featured a wobbling, tottering, about-to fall-over shed as its primary architectural feature. Judith’s passion is what fueled her to turn that property around and create a nationally-known art gallery. The gallery has one of the regions most unique sculpture gardens. The business serves customers from around the globe. Judith has worked to build long lasting relationships and a sense of community with established and emerging artists. She has developed a mix of regional and national work. “We want to launch the careers of local artists and help give them national exposure.” Explains Judith. The gallery contains three art spaces to host a mix of art, and they are always making changes. Outside there are sculptures within the four acres of garden. Inside, jewelry, metalwork, and other artisan crafts dominate the upper level of the gallery. Paintings fill the lower level. The works you find at Giving Tree are one-of-a-kind. You won’t find these pieces in a “mass-produced” catalog. The Giving Tree has a special program that arranges art leasing for restaurants and inns. Their team of consultants works with the client to outfit the establishment with the most cutting edge or classic art to enhance the overall ambience of the restaurant/inn. The Giving Tree consultants frequently work with Interior Designers to create unique portfolios for their clients. The Giving Tree Gallery is a cultivation of art and nature.
